Liberonym
Acceptable Use Policy
This policy forms part of the Terms of Use. It protects the Service, the official sources it depends on, and the people who use it.
1. Permitted use
Within your applicable plan terms, you may use Liberonym for:
- personal naming decisions;
- your own business or startup;
- professional use, including by agencies, consultants, accountants and legal professionals, as part of their own work;
- authorised client work, where you run evaluations on behalf of a client you are authorised to act for.
2. Prohibited use
You must not:
- scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-extract the Service, its reports, its data or its underlying sources by automated means;
- build a competing or derivative dataset, index or product from Liberonym output;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute Liberonym output as a standalone data product;
- misrepresent Liberonym results as legal advice, a legal opinion, trademark clearance, official certification or an authoritative determination of rights;
- present Liberonym output as if it were produced by an official register or authority;
- circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, access controls, authentication or abuse protection;
- probe, scan, overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the Service, or attempt to derive its underlying systems, models or matching logic;
- use the Service unlawfully, in breach of third-party rights, or to harass, defame, impersonate or defraud;
- share account credentials, or provide access to the Service to people who are not authorised under your plan;
- upload material you have no right to submit, or personal data you have no lawful basis to provide.
3. Respect for official sources
Liberonym relies on access granted by intellectual property offices, registries and other authorities. Conduct that risks that access — including automated extraction routed through the Service — harms every user, and is treated as a serious breach.
4. Enforcement
Where this policy is breached, Liberonym may apply rate limits, restrict features, suspend or terminate access, and take steps required by law. Where proportionate, we will try to contact you first, but we may act immediately where there is risk to the Service, its sources or other users.
5. Reporting misuse
If you become aware of misuse of the Service, please tell us through the contact page.
